Iedereen met een relatie kent het volgende probleem. Je hebt een nieuw kledingstuk gekocht, je bent er superblij mee, maar wanneer je het aantrekt waar je partner bij is word je vierkant uitgelachen. Lekker dan.

Ook de 24-jarige Olivia uit Londen kent dit probleem. Maar in plaats van het item vervolgens nooit meer aan te trekken, besloot ze het tegenovergestelde te doen. Ze maakte een Instgram-pagina aan genaamd @clothesmyboyfriendhates, volledig gewijd aan – je raadt het al – de kledingstukken die haar vriend afschuwelijk vindt.

‘Hospital gown’ en ‘tea towel’

Op Olivia’s profiel vind je veel items die de gemiddelde man inderdaad zum kotzen vindt. Denk aan lange jurken, platform sandalen, panterprint items en jurkjes met een T-shirt eronder. Bij veel van de kleding plaatst Olivia de opmerking die haar vriend erbij maakte. Zo noemde hij een zwart-wit gestippelde jurk een ‘hospital gown‘ en een andere rood-wit gestreepte jurk een ‘tea towel‘.

Het mag duidelijk zijn dat Olivia niet wakker kan liggen om de opmerkingen van haar vriend. Sterker nog, ze maakt er goed gebruik van. Zijn haat aan haar kledingstijl heeft haar inmiddels duizenden volgers opgeleverd.
